Forde Valley Home was founded in 2023 by Julia Hrivnak, choosing a family name from her great-grandmother's side to symbolize and pay tribute to women in business. The name and word "Forde" in old English also has symbolic meaning tied to the notion of change, transition, and opportunity. 

As an artist, designer, and former retail specialist, Julia saw an opportunity to search for high-quality US-made luxury furniture, home goods and appliances with an eye for sustainability in manufacturing, design and color.
